Yet

If you tend to believe that opportunities abound, you would be considered a both/and kinda person. There are limitless possibilities in both celebratory and challenging situations. Not too many folks live in this particular manner.
Instead, many humans tend to be binary thinkers, leaning into things having to be one way or the other. There is not a ton of wiggle room in the options they see, simply because situations and people are either/or. It is either this, or it is that.
So, what about middle ground? The place where you are striving to move out of either/or, but both/and seems like a real stretch.
Consider ‘yet.’ Adding ‘yet’ at the end of a sentence about anything unknown, not completed or not possessed, adds a bit of that beautiful thing we call HOPE. Because the word ‘yet’ has the ability to transform a confining thought into one of possibility.

In fact, right now, take an unhealthy thought that you have had about something you have yet to do, and tag the word ‘yet’ at the end. Just by adding that small word, opens up the mind to one of growth and opportunity.
