Addiction

There are many out there who chase ‘impressiveness,’ meaning they are always looking for the next way to be validated by others. At first it appears rather harmless – you’re just looking to be accepted. And, hey, what’s the harm in folks looking up to us, which turns to praising us, and possibly leads them to loving us? I mean, who wouldn’t want that?

Be aware. Wanting the approval and affirmation of others can be habit-forming, and potentially harmful. Specifically, it could turn into acquisition addiction, leading you to more letters behind your signature, more luxury items, more harmful people in your inner circle, more…more…more.

In other words, more isn’t always the healthiest goal. Because more of anything doesn’t make your more inherently worthy of love. Your mere existence on this giant blue ball makes you worthy. That’s it.

Stand in that truth.
