Baby Steps

So, there is something in your life that you would like to see altered a bit or maybe even eliminated. This something can range from quitting an unhealthy habit or relationship to moving to a new neighborhood to deciding to change careers.


You begin collecting the data. You pour over the podcasts, look at the demographics, talk to everyone you can think of who might have additional insight. You are gathering the info you need to decide on when and/or how to begin this new journey. There’s a bit of excitement in the air.


But nothing happens. You are stalled for a wide range of reasons and emotions. It’s too difficult. It’s scary. What if I really don’t want what I think I want. You begin to second guess yourself.


Instead of dropping the idea of what you had originally desired, consider what the smallest step you can take to move forward with your aspiration, but not so small that it doesn’t feel as though you will never get there.



Remember, you’ve already done the homework, now is the time to move. Because knowledge is power, but action is change.
