Decisions, Decisions

It’s one thing to have to decide between doing something that puts a smile on your face versus doing something that puts a knot in your stomach. Many tend to lean toward the smile. For them, it is a no-brainer. Smile vs. Knot. Smile wins.

Aaaaah, but what about those decisions you are making were it is between awesome Choice A or spectacular Choice B. What to do, what to do. There is always the Pro/Con list. An extremely helpful tool to let you visualize which plan has the most thumbs-ups. But, what if that doesn’t do the trick? Now what?

Well, decision-making is usually going to be a beautiful blend of intuition and rational thinking. But for some, trusting your gut can be difficult. Because, oh my gosh, what if my gut leads me astray. Here’s the thing. Intuition is there for a reason. And, rarely, does it lead you astray. It is when it is ignored or manipulated that things can sometimes go wonky.

As for the rational thinking part of the equation, making healthy choices will include gathering info, considering all the alternatives, a bit of cost/benefit analysis and sometimes, literally, sleeping on it.

Yes, decisions can be tough, but you are well equipped to make them. In fact, you do it all day, every day. So, you’ve got this. Go ahead and make that decision.
