Drama

Growing up I participated in various forms of the arts. I loved every minute of it, even the rehearsals. I just never tired of getting on stage. In fact, in high school, an average year for me included over 300 performances. Yeah, 300+. You have to love something a lot to do it that many times when you’re sixteen.

On the flip side, this part of my life had its own set of challenges, as well. Interestingly enough, it’s some of the same challenges I see many adults experiencing today. Meaning, conversation turns into a debate where there is limited, actual communication - arguing for the sake of arguing – big drama.

So, if you ever find yourself in a similar situation, something to remember - every person is driven by their own set of emotions, beliefs, points of view and how much coffee they drank, or didn’t drink, on a given morning. Take that in. Because when we can respect our own emotional vastness, it many times, allows us to be more comfortable with another’s vastness.

And let’s not forget, sometimes, drama is just better left on the stage.
