Fingerprinting

Having a cop for a brother with ALL the CSI shows available ‘round the clock, it is a blast teasing him when it comes to his own police work. He despises the shows. He pulls up on a call and folks assume he has all the gizmos and gadgets they see on TV and that the case will be solved in a couple of hours. As you can imagine, it doesn’t play out the way it does on the shows. Go figure – Reality or reality-like TV not being anything close to real life.

All that being said, the fingerprinting stuff is close enough. And it got me to thinking. Every day we have opportunities, many of them, to leave our ‘fingerprints’ all over the place. Fingerprints on our senior neighbor who no longer drives. Fingerprints on the neighborhood school desperately in need of reading buddies. Fingerprints on the family struggling with a recent death. Fingerprints on the local shelter. You get the picture.
