Freefalling

If you have ever had the pleasure of watching masters of bungee jumping or skydiving, you probably remember the sheer adrenaline you felt as the spectator. And, for those of you who ventured out and tried it for yourself, Bravo!

It is an incredible mixture of emotions when you find yourself cutting through the air with no safety net to speak of. It’s a sensory overload - an emotional mix of fear, focus, fun, presence, anxiety, liberation, and exhilaration. A true rush.
Interestingly enough, each of us have opportunities to experience the benefits of freefalling on a relatively regular basis. However, most of us will not participate, given the choice, because it can be [see the list above].
But guess what? You don't have to freefall alone. When we allow folks to grab hold of us in our occasional freefalls, we ask them to participate in our lives and we provide ourselves a protective safety net. And all involved can experience the healthy chemical cocktail of release, elation and many times joy that this type of falling can induce.
When we take a leap, we benefit from a kaleidoscope of emotions that comes from allowing our friends and family to catch us when we fall. In fact, we gift them when we trust them enough to do just that.
