Friction

There’s not a whole lot of us humans who can say they enjoy friction. And there’s a very understandable reason why. Friction creates conflict and/or animosity because there is a clash of ideologies, wills, opinions, etc. So, yeah, most people don’t love it.
Interestingly enough, it is that same friction that can help us grow as individuals - similar to a flowering bushes roots requiring the pressure and resistance of the soil to help them grow. We, just like plants, can benefit from our ‘soil’ because that which creates friction in our life can also provide us growth, insight, and wisdom through even the most challenging times.
Now, there are several ways that we can reduce or change our response to friction. Such as deep breathing, physical movement, reframing and even rest. All of these are worthy techniques when it feels like there is just too much friction in our lives.
And as you utilize these techniques, remember there is a growth opportunity that exists, as well. So, bloom baby, bloom.
