Growth

There’s a powerful concept out there known as ‘growth mindset.’ An individual who lives into this concept, believes they can improve themselves and grow in their abilities if they put in the time and effort. On the other side of that coin, is what is known as a ‘fixed mindset.’ Those who lean more into this idea believe they are born into their talents. In other words, if they are unable to master something immediately, there is nothing they can do to make them better at it.
Basically, the story you tell yourself when it comes to your ability to improve yourself, actually impacts your ability to improve yourself. Trying on a growth mindset for size might assist you in developing a whole host of ‘talents,’ such as self-trust, intuition (yes you can build/increase intuition), quick and accurate decision making, self-confidence and adaptability.

To begin to cultivate a growth mindset, it starts with focusing on getting an ‘A’ for effort. Not being concerned with the outcome or end result, but simply beginning. So, if there is something you have tried and didn’t immediately do it brilliantly, remember ‘growth mindset’ and continue to work at it with as much self-grace as you can muster. Before you know it, you may be looking back, wondering why the heck didn’t I try this before.
