Not knowing your next step can absolutely create doubt. Doubt in yourself. Doubt in others. And with that ambiguity usually comes an endless obsession to figure it out, to know the answers NOW. “Daddy, I want it NOW.” Thanks, Veruka Salt.

But let’s just put it out there. This artificial ‘knowing’ of how the story ends can actually prevent the truth, your truth, from being revealed. In essence, all you are really doing is putting your mind through these acrobatic feats of twists and turns, possibly bringing you no closer to the resolution you truly desire – even those resolutions that you don’t recognize as being in your grasp.

What you might want to consider is embracing the uncertainty.

Uncertainty expands the boundaries of our comfort zone which helps us to grow. Although there are little to no guarantees stepping into this place of insecurity, it’s usually where the most extraordinary things occur. It is where the journey begins.

A willingness to take a seat at the adventure table does require a bit of courage, faith, and trust. And it is also usually necessary to help us live joyous and liberating lives.

So, let go of the reigns, have a seat and see the realm of possibilities.
