High Falootin'

There is a tendency for many of us to partake in a bit of self-grandiose-ing. It’s as if there is this built-in compass to see ourselves as better than “average,” however you define average. On the surface, that could be seen as deception or a divergence from reality.
Additionally, the high-falootin’ ideas could lead to less opportunity because, hey, we are pretty awesome, as is. What would we possibly want to change? In other words, self-grandiose-ers might gloss over certain things in order to see themselves in a much more favorable light – not admitting to what might truly be going on.
Now, without dismissing the idea that high levels of narcissism could be less than beneficial for an individual or the individuals within their circle; consider the thought that a healthy dose of narcissistic self-enhancement could actually produce some pretty fabulous outcomes.
Because a strong and optimally positive self-image can potentially do wonders with maintaining physical and mental health. There’s a better chance of you being more approachable; your ‘downs’ may not last nearly as long, you are generally physically healthier, and there’s usually a higher level of confidence in your abilities.

So, get on that high horse with your high-falootin’ opinions of yourself…not always….but sometimes. Because it can be a powerful way to produce some pretty powerful results.
