Holding Space

There are times when we just feel stuck. It’s like quicksand. The more we struggle with this ‘stuck-ed-ness,’ the deeper we sink. And we sink, and we sink, and we sink.
But what if that deep sink is exactly what is needed? What if the humiliations, the losses, the challenges are exactly what is required to move us toward growth, transformation or even resurrection?
What unwanted surprises, unnerving notions, and undesired changes need to take place to blow the roofs off of our tidy houses in order for us to see the cosmos? And then once we see the stars, what deeper understanding, wider net, larger dream can we begin to imagine?

Just a thought, but maybe it is the struggle that helps us loosen the grip on something that is not meant for us. And maybe, just maybe, we need to hold space where obstacles can show us new possibilities.
