Invite Abundance

I was reminded yesterday of the practice of “Word of the Year.” The idea being that instead of making a resolution that may be difficult to stick with, you discern and decide the word that you will try to live into for the entire year. Now, I do not partake in this practice, but the word that kept popping in my head while having dinner with friends was Abundance. Because that’s exactly how I felt breaking bread with the people I love – fully abundant.
Continuing on that train of thought later into the evening, I was reminded that Life is like an EKG. You go up, you go down, and if you are doing neither, you are flat-lining

. And we all know what that means.
Anyway, those ups and downs could be described as your challenges and opportunities. But, what if you were to approach each day girded in the belief that you are enough? That you are a stunningly marvelous creation. That you are not broken. That you don’t need to be fixed. That you are perfect – right here, right now. How would that change your outlook? What filters would dissipate in the knowledge that everything and everyone, including you, is completely whole and exactly who they need to be – today.
