For those of us who have had the great fortune to fall and/or be in love, it can absolutely take your breath away. There are times you wonder if the crazy roller coaster ride called our emotions is worth it. But for most, the resounding answer is, ‘Yes!’ With all the tides that love rolls in and out of our lives, most of us embrace that ‘quiver in the liver’ whether embarking on a new love interest or 40 years into the relationship with our ‘one true love.’
This is love as a noun. But what about the action part of love?
That’s the tricky thing about love. It usually starts as a noun. Whether the love of a newborn, love interest, or even a pet – love usually comes to us first in the form of a noun. And then, one day, in order to sustain, it switches to a verb. And when the switch takes place...when you decide each day to live into the word as an act…the relationship shifts. It becomes more unconditional, more profound, more absolute and more glorious.
Raise a glass to love – the verb.
