Play the Tape to the End

Fear-based decisions are those we make out of feelings of scarcity, insecurity, guilt, self-doubt, condemnation, and so on. They are the ones that give our ‘power’ away – many times to someone or something else.
One way to shift to a healthier focus and/or outcome is to play out the possibilities before making the decision. Go ahead. Go deep. What are all the potential end games? “What if” it to death. Now, get them solid in your mind or write them out. And here’s the fun part - determine the likelihood of them actually happening. Give each one a percentage. Be honest.
Yeah. The chances are usually pretty slim.
This exercise helps us create our own reality check before we take an action on a fear-based thought and/or feeling. It provides us the opportunity to make a choice from a place of plenty, security, forgiveness, and self-love. A much healthier state to be in whenever it’s time to make a move.
