Playing with Matches

Sometimes it can feel like drudgery to try and motivate ourselves to get deliriously jazzed up about things. For some, they may have completely forgotten to get excited about anything. Life turns into projects, big and small. Just one more day with one more (or two or three) project(s) that must be dealt with. Fun just goes out the window.

Life can get so overwhelming at times. We forget to stoke the fire of fun. We simply release our mojo and good vibes. And for some, we learn to fear the fire.

But fire is freedom. It is courageous. It is passion, spontaneity and a force to be reckoned with. Fire is fighting, believing, dreaming, learning, teaching, inspiring and growing. Plenty to avoid, say some – but without the fire, where is the light?

Yes, life finds many placing themselves in boxes, forgetting the joy that abounds when they engage and play. And then the tedium settles in, and minds go foggy on the memories of pure delight. But it doesn’t have to be this way.

Play with matches. Ignite the fire. Let it burn gloriously.
