The Golden Rule

Humans have opinions on a myriad of things. Some of those opinions we keep to ourselves, others we share. There are times when silent opinions deserve voice. And there are times when vocal opinions deserve reflection.
Before you decide to share an opinion, see if it falls into one of the following categories. If it does, maybe a bit more scrutiny is in order:
- I am better than….
- I deserve….
- I am worse than….
- I need to be seen as…

Self-deprecation taken too far or an over-enthusiastic ego usually means we are at war with ourselves and/or we see people as objects, as opposed to fellow human beings. And at those times the ‘golden rule’ comes in handy. Treat others as you wish to be treated AND treat yourself as you wish others to treat you.
