Trust

How much do you trust those you have chosen to be in your life – family and friends? Now, how much do you trust yourself? Interestingly enough, not as many as one might think trust themselves more than they trust others.

Let’s break it down. Self-trust is knowing that you know, that you know, that you know that you are brilliantly capable of making healthy choices for yourself, achieving many of the goals you have set for yourself, and handling everything, including the proverbial kitchen sink, that gets thrown your way in this journey known as life. Self-trust is that confidence and self-love that we offer to ourselves without hesitation.

So, when we find ourselves in that hesitation spot, usually it means we are trusting the outer world rather than our inner wisdom.

We all do it – some more than others. We go with the noise we are hearing from the outside influencers and/or influences. And find ourselves saying something like, “Dang. I should have listened to myself.” We allow ourselves to trust other people, our calendar, our clock, or whatever, more than we trust ourselves.

But in those moments where we recognize our self-trust is a bit lower than we’d prefer, when we recognize these gaps in our self-trust, there’s room to grow. So, grow baby, grow.
