What If You Said "No?"

Last week’s post started off with “For those who are comfortable saying ‘no,’ this question is specifically for you.” Today, let’s venture to the other side of the coin. For those of you who say ‘yes, yes, and more yes,’ how many times do you actually say ‘no?’
For some, this two-letter word is extremely difficult to release out into the open. It stirs up feelings of fear, guilt and a load of other emotions that can wreak havoc on our mind, body, and spirit. All of these emotions have their place, but don’t let them take up more space than they deserve. So, consider these Six N’s:
* If the thought drains you, ‘NO’ is probably the correct answer.
* ‘NO’ gives you power.
* Listen to your heart, it is telling you if ‘NO is appropriate.
* Saying ‘NO,’ is sometimes where respect begins.
* Self-care requires ‘NO’ at times.
* Saying ‘yes’ is easy. Saying ‘NO’ is hard.
And a final thought: If you are thinking ‘maybe,’ you probably mean ‘no.’
